Remember this?

Over two years ago, I went and watched an Extreme Makeover house being built. I really wanted to go back later that week to yell "MOVE THAT BUS!" but they didn't inform us when it was going to happen and I missed it.

I have often wanted to go back and find the house after it was completely finished.

So finally- I did!!

It's in one of those neighborhoods of small beige track houses. . . I was with a friend who did not go with me to see it being built.

"Hey- I'll drive the neighborhood and see if you can figure out which house it is!"
Think he was able to figure it out??

Going, going. . . GONE

Our third graders have been learning about butterflies over the past few weeks. With that, we ordered some butterflies and got to see them go from caterpillars into their caccoons, then hatch as butterflies. My class and another class has kept them in a little butterfly habitat that we have been sharing between each other, so today we decided that together, we would take them outside to release them into the wild.

So we sat the kids down on the little step- like seating we have outside, and up in front, we opened the cage. . .

And as the butterflies flew away. . .

several birds promptly swooped in and ate them all up!

It took us a few weeks to learn about the butterfly. . .

and about 1 minute to discover the food chain!

It's the most wonderful time of the year. . .

You know it's almost the end of the school year, when these little babies get sent home with the kiddos. . .

Happy summer in 17.5 days!

I know- the papers seemed to go home a bit prematurely, but I am still celebrating.

Long overdue. . .

Then Now

Every time this gets done, it's like he becomes a whole new puppy.
